She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter L. Davis and Grace E. Davis (Cowperthwaite); and her husband LaVern W. Davenport. She is survived by : her son Richard Chilson; her grandchildren, Richard and Samantha; and her close friends, Marj, Jim, Carla and Kerri.

Bill Harrison wrote a sympathy message

“I was so saddened to hear of the passing of cousin Shirley. She was the first cousin of my late mother, Grace Harrison, and the last of her generation. Shirley and I were the family historians and we exchanged numberous photos and stories over the years. Even after my move to Philadelphia I made it a point to visit her and Vern on my annual vacation to New England. I had so hoped to see her on my next trip up north. I will miss her deeply. In sorrow, Cousin Bill Harrison.”
