He was predeceased by: his sister Carol Stokes; and his parents, Martin Stob and Therese Stob (Vandermolen). He is survived by: his wife Audrey Stob; his grandchildren, Ben, Dana Stob, Jillian, Hayden, Sonia, Derek Zeyl, Noah, Anneke, Phoebe, Dan Stob, Sophia, Jacob and Elizabeth; and his siblings, Cindy (Jim Appel), Warren (Jean Stob) and Howard (Ellen Stob).
