He is survived by: his sons, John Brownlow, II (Deana) of Ada and Patrick Brownlow of Grand Rapids; his stepchildren, Peter Jackson, Pamela Jackson-Hensen, Lisa Jackson and Beverly Brownlow; and his grandsons, John "Jack", Grant and Greyson.
