It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernal Walden of Alden, Michigan, born in East Jordan, Michigan, who passed away on September 23, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Alfred Walden and Theresa Walden (Hosler); his wife Karleen "Sue" Walden; his son Christopher Walden; and his grandson Logan Fant.

He is survived by : his sons, Greg Walden of Bellaire and Tony Walden (Kathy) of Rapid City; his stepchildren, Kristine Willson of Bellaire, Kimberly Willson of Lansing, Kathy Willson (Rusty) of Julian, NC, Kelly Fant (Mike) of Central Lake and Ken Willson III (Tonya) of Troy; his grandchildren, Alex, James Walden, Adrianna Palm, Jenna, Kenny Willson IV, Alyssa Gamble, Christopher and Nicklas Fant; his great grandchild Amiyah Mebane; and his sister-in-law Janett Walden of East Jordan.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
