He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Eckert and Mary Eckert; his wife Rochelle Eckert; his daughter Paula Eckert; his close friend Joan Ely; and his brothers, James Eckert and Raymond Eckert.

He is survived by : his children, Michael Eckert (Vicky) and Denise Eckert; his granddaughters, Rachel Eckert and Marissa Eckert; and his sister Barbara Newman.
