He is survived by: his wife Michelle; his parents, Jeffrey Kay and Rebecca Kay; his siblings, Zachary, Joshua Kay and Rachel Leman; and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl, Magen Kay and Marcus Leman. He is also survived by his nine nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a scholarship fund created in Stephen's honor for the St. John's High School Cross Country team.
