She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Schjoth and Evelyn Schjoth (Roberts); and her siblings, Edward, John, Frank Schjoth, Maryann Niemi and Shirley McEwen.
She is survived by : her husband Earl LaFernier; her children, Eric LaFernier of Chicago, IL, Lori LaFernier (Robert) of Baraga, MI, David Saari (Barb) of Arnheim, MI and Chris Ann Lamson (Brandon) of Baraga, MI; her brother Richard Schjoth of Baraga, MI; and her grandchildren, Carmin, Alexis, Kayla, Vanessa and Tyler. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
