He was predeceased by : his parents, Otto Dittrich and Rose Dittrich (Posenke); his wife Beatrice Dittrich; and his siblings, Carl, Clarence, Roger, Florence Blake and Edna Kremer.

He is survived by : his children, Beverly Dittrich (Mike Clark) of Atlanta, GA, Russell Dittrich (Karla) of Spring Creek, NV, Dan Dittrich (Heidi) of Lummi Island, WA, Howard Dittrich (Karlene) of Canton, GA, Elaine Huckstep (Dave) of Escanaba, Diane Dittrich Shea of Atlanta, GA and Ken Dittrich (Tracy) of Manitowoc, WI; and his brother Francis Dittrich of Gladstone. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hyde.
