With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Artis Skaggs-Williams (Battle Creek, Michigan), born in Gaines, Michigan, who passed away on June 22, 2018 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Benoit and Lottie Benoit; her former husband Gerald B. Skaggs; her son John Skaggs; her stepdaughter Sheila Ortis; and her siblings, Julia Gilson, Vera Gilson, Amber Giffin, Dess Hammacher, Edith Kelly, Ruth Olmstead, JennaMae Gilson, John, Sherm, Harold Benoit, Weston Benoit and Howard Benoit.
She is survived by: her husband James Ray Williams; her children, Bruce Skaggs (LueAnn), Kevin Skaggs (Janice) and Lora Poucher (John Skaggs); her stepson Thomas Williams; and also, Timothy Williams and Anthony Williams. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews.
