We bid farewell to Mary E. Smith of Battle Creek, Michigan, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 8, 2025 at the age of 92. Mary E. touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Mary E. may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary E. touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband DeLos Smith; and her children, Kevin Smith and Lynn Smith. She is survived by: her children, Terry Smith and David (Kelly); her grandchildren, Aaron Smith (Chesnee), Shawna Sanders and James Bohn; and her daughter-in-law Kelly.
A graveside service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Calendar Memorial Park Cemetery (2435 W Territorial Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49015).
Memorial donations may be directed to Gentiva Hospice or to the Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center in honor of Betty.
