He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary Hart and Delana Sue Chase; his sister Krista Jean Hart; and his niece Jessica Hart. He is survived by: his son Nathan Allen Butcher (Shelby); his sister Angie Keeton (Michael); his significant other Katie Trueax; his grandsons, Leo, Ezra and Graham Butcher; his brother Jamie Hart (Tammy); and his siblings' children, Gary Pontuis Jr (Sinda), Lacey Ostrander (Ryan), Kaylin Pontuis (Travis), Tara Pontuis (Jerel) and Samantha Hall.
In his passing he was able to save two lives through organ donation.
