He was predeceased by: his daughter Dorothy Parker; and his brothers, Paul Petersen and Carl Petersen. He is survived by: his parents, Burchard Petersen and Florence Petersen (Pelley); his spouse Elsie Marhanka; and his children, Margie "Bill" Obenchain of Kentwood, Delores Petersen of Battle Creek, Francis Wayne "Pete" Petersen of California and Mark Petersen (Tammy) of Battle Creek.
