He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Harvey C. Hansen and Stella Hansen (Donahue) of Lynn, MA; his wife Patricia Hansen (Swonk); his brothers, Michael Hansen and James Hansen; and his nephew Forest Lehnert.
He is survived by: his sister Stella Hansen (Peter Lehnert); his children, Eric Hansen, Krista Elkins (Luke Elkins) and Jon Hansen; his stepdaughter Becky Cooper (Tom Deater); his sister-in-law Kathy Swonk; his grandchildren, Shannon Elkins, Kerry Elkins and Whitman Deater; his nieces, Angee Dyer Corso (Brek Corso), Amy Hansen, Adrienne Lehnert (Matthew Hemsath), Eleanor (Michael Schuchard) and Erin Lehnert (Christina Baal); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hazel Schuchardt, River Hemsath, Wyatt Schuchardt and Jake Corso. He is also survived by friends, family, neighbors.
