She was predeceased by: her parents, Spofford Shirley and Natalie Shirley; her husband Robert Kouts; and her son James Kouts. She is survived by: her children, Jim and Susan McCloskey (Tim) of Marshall; her grandchildren, Patrick McCloskey (Krystina) of Commerce Twp, Colin McCloskey (Emily) of Grand Rapids, Andrew Kouts of Jackson and Jared Kouts of Jackson; her brother George Frederick Shirley of Boynton Beach, FL; and her great grandchildren, Aubree McCloskey, Olivia McCloskey and Hayden McCloskey.
Lynn Shirley Kouts, age 83, of Battle Creek passed away September 17, 2018 at Reflections Memory Care in Battle Creek after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease.
