She was predeceased by: her parents, David Sims and Deborah Sims (Welch); and her siblings, Marcel Usher, Jackie Benson and Rose E. Sims.
She is survived by: her husband Johnnie; her sons, David Brown (Stephanie) and Devon Brown; her stepson Harold "Wayne" Scott; her sister-in-law Willie Mae Lee; and her siblings, Carol Lee, Annette Usher, Janette McCaty, Stephanie Walker, Marilyn Savage, Janet Ferguson, Cecil Grantham, Margaret Sims, Renee Sims-Irby and Sarah Sims. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
