He is survived by: his wife Valerie Monarch Thurman; his children, Timothy Grant Thurman, Amanda Nicole Gray and CoraSha Elaine Thurman; his stepson James Julius Martin Monarch; and his siblings, Billie Sue Mainstone, Danny Thurman, Jimmy Thurman and Ricky Thurman.
