She was predeceased by : her parents, Tinsel McDonald and Ruth McDonald (Truex); her husband Nelson DeGroot; her son-in-law Duane Damon; her brother Urban McDonald; and her cousin Jane Nickerson.
She is survived by : her children, LuAnn Damon, Ronald DeGroot (Susan) and Roy DeGroot (Marsha); her grandchildren, Amanda DeGroot-Bonneville, Benjamin DeGroot, Lance DeGroot (Tanya), Dustin Damon (Jessica) and Lesley Loren (James); and her brother Harold McDonald (Geneva). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
