He was predeceased by : his parents, John Gutowski and Pauline Gutowski (Mojeck); his grandson Christopher; and his brothers, Chuck and Robert.

He is survived by : his wife Nancy Lee Buehler; his children, Donald C., Matt, Diane Rowe and Polly Erickson (Gordy); and his grandchildren, Amanda, Jeremy, Nick, Sydney, Lane, Logan and Kaylee. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
