He was predeceased by: his parents, Lambert Sims and Thelma Sims (Lincoln); his daughter Judy Whaley; his siblings, Wava Hofer, Phillys Sims, Valrie Coin and Jim Sims; his son-in-law Keith Bania; and his nephew Jamie Sims.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Lenhart; his daughters, Teresa Biller (Wayne) of Rodney, Tina Ide (Jeff) of Texas and Lisa Bania of Clinton Township; his son-in-law Jim Whaley of Canadian Lakes; his grandchildren, Charlene, Andrew, Nathan, Zachary, Morgan, Richard, Connor, Allyson and Brennan; and his great grandchildren, Chase and Avery. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
