With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Mary (Olszewski) Shurtleff of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on June 20, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James W. Shurtleff Sr.; her parents, Dominik Olszewski and Helen Olszewski; and her brother Richard Olszewski. She is survived by: her children, James W. Jr. (Jill Shurtleff), Paul (Nancy Shurtleff), Julia Villacorta, Patricia Millen, Claudia (Bill Stepien), Sylvia (Jeffrey Cutler), Mark Shurtleff, Carl Shurtleff, Beth Woodhead, Bob Kenny and Douglas Millen (Ybet Villacorta); her grandchildren, James (Whitney Shurtleff), Jenna Shurtleff, Lauren (Joe Cronin), Corinne Shurtleff, Amelia (Joe Lojek), Natalie Villacorta, Julian Villacorta, Christopher Millen, Katie (Nick Cramarossa), Elizabeth Millen, Rachel Stepien, Danielle Stepien, Rebecca Cutler, David Cutler, Jonathan Cutler and Bailey Shurtleff (Grant Shurtleff); her great grandchildren, Sebastian Cronin, Blake and Carter Lojek; her cousin Dolores; and also, Tom Jr., Julie Shurtleff, Paul Michael Shurtleff, Peter and Lina Shurtleff.

Due to the current difficult circumstances and limitations of the COVID-19 pandemic, a Memorial service in Joan's honor will be determined at a later date.
