He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ward Doughten (Golda) and Golda Doughten (Potter); his children, Bruce Doughten and Renea Brunke (Howard); his grandchildren, Kaleb Doughten-Priuska, Ryan Dickey (Julie) and Eric Dickey; his great grandchild Zachary Dickey; his siblings, Emma Morley (Max), Everett Doughten (Louise) and Margaret Renbarger (Floyd); and his wife Elsie Schantz. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, a private service will take place for the immediate family at the Mission Hills Memorial Chapel in Niles, Michigan.
