Richard Lawrence Variell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Lawrence Variell of South Haven, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 30, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence M. Variell and Ruth M. Variell (Hagger); his sister Nancy; and his brother-in-law James Collins. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Variell (Haberland); his children, Shelly Cowles (Glenn) of South Haven and Jason Variell (Amy) of Eau Claire; his grandchildren, Hailey, Hannah Variell and Maxwell Cowles; and also Pamela Willis (Skip) of Three Oakes, Michigan.. He is also survived by family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to make a memorial contribution could do so to Al Van Humane Society, PO Box 421, South Haven, MI 49090 or to Bikers for Vets, 72439 M-43 Hwy., South Haven, MI 49090 to be used for the Memorial Day motorcycle ride.
