It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Jean Platko of Burtchville, Michigan, who passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl H. Householder and Martha Jean Herzog Householder; her husband Robert J. Platko; and her brother Robert Householder. She is survived by: her sons, Christopher R. (Brandi L. Platko) and Carl J. Platko of Hopewell; her granddaughters, Morgan, Mackenzie, Marissa, Kaelyn, Dakohta and Camrin; and her siblings-in-law, Sandra Householder of Ohioville, Joseph Platko (Keven White) of Ashville, Michael of Rochester, Vicki Platko of Rochester, Dianna Platko of Rochester, Judith of Rochester and Daniel Dettorre of Rochester.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William Murphy Funeral Home, Inc. (349 Adams St, Rochester, PA 15074). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park (273 PA-68, Rochester, PA 15074).
The family wishes for memorial contributions be sent to the Beaver County Humane Society at 3394 Broadhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
