He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Bunce and Lois Bunce (Converse); his brother Bruce Bunce; and his brothers-in-law, Floyd Van Wagner and Robert Cellars.

He is survived by: his wife Janet E. Cellars; his children, Reed Bunce (Mary Anne) of Camden, Rodney Bunce (Nancy) of Camden, Rene and Randall Bunce of Hillsdale, Michigan; his sisters, Virginia Cattell of Florida and Linda Gala of Florida; and his sisters-in-law, Marjorie Bunce of Arizona, Virginia Cellars of Colorado and Janice VanWagner of Indiana. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
