She was predeceased by: her husband John Zawilinski; her son Jerry Michael Zawilinski; her granddaughter Julie Patterson; her siblings, Edwin Peters, Clarence Peters, Louis Peters, Mark Peters, Raymond Peters (Irene), Marie Roberts (Bill), Viola Flannery (Mike), Vernetta Flannery (Herb) and Ellen McCormick (John); and her son-in-law Jim Smithson.
She is survived by: her children, Joann Smithson of Cass City, Al Zawilinski (Melojean) of Bay City, John Zawilinski (Angie Schatzer) of Bay City, Linda Powell (Dennis) of Cass City and Rick Zawilinski of Berwick, LA; her grandchildren, Jim Smithson (Deb Poiser), Barry Patterson, Jeff Smithson (Gretchen Gersonde), Justin Salas (Kim), Brent Salas (Tiffany), Lyle Schatzer, Lance Schatzer, Rush Dittmore (Chris), Knop Carrillo and Karla Carrillo; her great grandchildren, Rob, Megan, Kelsey, Ava, Gloriel, Kaleb, Evan, Eli, Starlet and Dominic; and her sister-in-law Aggie Zawilinski of Cass City. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
