With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Carole Koester (Central Lake, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2025 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Kessler and Margaret Kessler (Slicker); her husband Norman Koester (Paul Newman); her daughter Nancy; and her siblings, Marilyn Grant (James), Robert and William Kessler.
She is survived by: her children, Susan and James; her grandchildren, Danny Czernysz and Kelly Kenyon; her cousin Joyce; and her siblings-in-law, Eileen Kessler and James Grant. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and their spouses and children.
In lieu of flowers Joan would have loved donations to St Judes Children's Hospital.
