We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2021, at the age of 88, Ruth Deforest of Central Lake, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Horace Marshall and Clarabelle Marshall (Kooman); her husband Ronald "Bud" DeForest; and her siblings, Helen, Patricia, Joe and Carl.

She is survived by : her children, Sylvia DeForest of Central Lake, Jack DeForest of Bellaire, Kenneth DeForest (Gladys) of Bellaire, Robert DeForest (Diane) of Marshall, MI, Ronald DeForest (Leanna) of Marshall, MI, RuthAnn Birchfield (Kelly) of Mancelona, Susan Variot (Joseph) of Mancelona and James DeForest of Central Lake; and her siblings, Mickie, Melva, Irene, Louise, Don and Jerry. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
