He was predeceased by: his parents, Phila and Edward; and his brother Robert Edward Shanahan. He is survived by: his son Bruce; and his nieces and nephews, Mary Kim Pagels (Michael) of Hampstead, MD, Edward (Nancy) of Toledo, OH, Robert (Debra) of Canton, MI and Kathleen Van Gorp (Cornel) of Powell, OH. He is also survived by seven grand nieces and nephews.
