She was predeceased by : her parents, Howard Kittle and Ruth Kittle (Shull); her husband Edwin Powell; her brothers, Dale Kittle and Jon Kittle; and her former life partner Harold "Bud" Bartlett.

She is survived by : her children, Renee Bartlett, LeeAnn Owen (Martin) and Gregory Bartlett (Karen); her grandchildren, Christopher Bartlett (Nicole), Gretchen Diaz (Miguel), Eduardo Diaz and Mario Diaz; her brother Richard Kittle (Janice); and her sister-in-law Patsy Kittle. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
