We are sad to announce that on November 15, 2023, at the age of 91, Jeanette Van Houten of Chelsea, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice A. Ostyn and Alice Louise Ostyn (Creuwenare); and her husband Alvin Trent Van Houten. She is survived by: her children, Susan Van Houten (Tim Powell) of New Smyrna Beach, Gary Van Houten (Susan) of Edmonds, Thomas Van Houten (Roxanne) of Oscoda, Jeff Van Houten (Phill Oggero) of Sonoma, James Van Houten (Linda) of Greenville and Patricia Van Houten (Chris Sedgwick) of Chicago, Illinois; and her siblings, Rene Ostyn (Carol), George Ostyn (Renee) and Yvonne Williams. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
