He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Ward and Joyce Ward; his wife Mary Ward; his son Monty; and his brother Gaylord Ward.

He is survived by : his sons, Mark Ward (Cherryl) and Mike Ward (Georgeann); his daughter-in-law Ronda Ward; his grandchildren, Dustin Ward, Nicholas Ward (Jennifer), Aaron Ward, Nathan Ward (Holly), Stephanie Cook (Tyler), Erika Hatton (Raven), Tony Ward (Niki) and Sam Ward; his sister Cynthia Lehman; and his close friend Bob Forbes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church.
