He was predeceased by : his parents, Bertha R. Ziemkowski (Kaczmarski) and Peter J. Ziemkowski; his wife Helen C. Skrobot; and his sister Dorothy Drowns (Bob). He is survived by : his children, Linda Malo (Thomas) of Alexandria, LA and Peter Ziemkowski (Amanda) of Portage, MI; his granddaughters, Nicole Futrell (Jesse), Abigail Ziemkowski and Andrea Ziemkowski; his great grandchild Olivia Futrell; and his sister Norma Snowdon.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in memory of Pete to either the Colon American Legion Post 454, or the Colon Lions Club.
