It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Markku K. Karell of Commerce Township, Michigan, who passed away on July 11, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by : his sons, Erik Karell and Adam Karell; his daughter-in-law Monica Karell (Constantino); his granddaughter Lily Karell; his sister Marianna Webb (Karell); his brother-in-law Darryl Webb; his nephews, Ryan Webb and Scott Webb (Lincoln); his sister-in-law Linda Tyson (Kress); his nieces, Laura Trenary (Scott) and Kelly Trouba (Jacob); and also Heidi Karell (Kress).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alpine Valley Ski Patrol to help cultivate the next generation of patrol instructors.
