She was predeceased by: her parents, Violet Winter Luckingham and Col. Ruel M. Luckingham; her siblings, Bonnie Joyce True (Phil), Shirley Szeluga (Ted), Ruel Luckingham Jr. (Del), Robert Luckingham (Helen) and Jean Austin; her son Laurence Pierce; her grandsons, David Kundrick (Kris) and Robin Kundrick; and her great grandchildren, Dylan Pierce and Chyanne Pierce.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Pierce (Bob); her daughters, Kathryn Kundrick and Priscilla Smith; and her grandchildren, Patti Carden (Brian), Debby Steiger (Tom), Laurence Pierce, Cheryl Pierce, Colleen Sullivan and Sean Sullivan. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.
Doris celebrated both her 100th and 101st birthdays in relative isolation because of the pandemic. She was adamant in her support of following Covid protocols and talked about respecting others by doing so, even at the end.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers or donations, just be kind to one another.
