She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard VanDussen and Florence VanDussen (Fredrick); her parents-in-law, Robert and Erika Schmidt; and her brother-in-law Robert George Schmidt Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Paul Schmidt; her children, Rudi Schmidt (Rachel), Cara Schmidt and Robert Schmidt (Jodie); her grandson Julian Schmidt; her sisters, Priscilla VanDussen (Fred Howell) and Jennifer DeMull; and her sister-in-law Heidi Lemmen (Doug). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
