With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert E. Mellinger (Davison, Michigan), born in East Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on February 27, 2018 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Frank Mellinger; his son Paul Edward Mellinger; his siblings, Boyd Mellinger and Alverna Paulus; his parent-in-law Norman Mette; and also Helen Mette (Dover).
He is survived by: his parent Gertrude Mellinger (Boyd); his spouse Virginia Mette; his children, Mary Frost (Scott) and Joseph Mellinger; his grandchildren, Sandra Waldron (Samuel) and Christina McGee (Michael); and his brother-in-law Jack Paulus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison Senior Center.
