He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Kent and Loretta Kent (Ethier); and his brother Thomas Kent, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jean Kent; his children, Tamara Brown (Gary), Debora Warren (Steve), Sandra Barger, James Kent, Jr. (Kim), Rebecca Woodhams (Todd) and Brenda Leos (David); and his sister Mary Comrie. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Food Pantry in Lapeer.
