She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Courney and Goldie Courney (Harris); her husband Norman Richard Hammett; and her siblings, Joyce Hoose, Carol Coe and Bill Courney.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angeline Carr (Richard) and Joyce Finch (Scott); her grandchildren, Brooke and Blake Dimond; her great grandchildren, Brystol and Kashton Dimond; and her siblings, Lynn Thompson, Sandy Walker, Thelma Thompson, Virginia Wolfe, Howard Courney, Norm Courney and Robert Courney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation .
