It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mathew Zalizny (Davison, Michigan), born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on October 12, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Michael Zalizny; his wife Kathleen; his son-in-law Thomas Opila; and his siblings, Thomas Zalizny, Helen Delores Hutchins (Robert) and Geneive Zalizny.
He is survived by: his parent Helen Zalizny (Piotrowski); his children, Patrick Zalizny (Cindy), Thomas Zalizny (Barbara), Nora Steibel (Brian) and Janet Opila; and his grandchildren, Rachel (Nick), Matthew (Jenna), Kyle (Ashley), Jessica and Joshua (Paula). He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, in Mathew's memory.
