He was predeceased by: his parent Patrick Monette; his sons-in-law, Mark Rumptz and Joseph Bono; and his siblings, Roy, John, Audrey Vargo, William, Patrick and Bernard.
He is survived by: his parent Mary Monette (Dunn); his spouse Loraine; and his child Maureen Castle (Bill) of Diane Rumptz. He is also survived by grandchildren who called him "Papa", Alyson, Hannah, Miranda, Jordyn, Abigail, Amanda, Davis; many sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews.
