She was predeceased by: her spouse Jose Felix Colon; her siblings, Angel Aponte and Laura Vazquez; and her parents, Jose Aponte and Francisca Aponte.
She is survived by: her children, Madeline Colon-Mercado (Carlos), Evelyn Colon (Victor Claudio) and Jose Colon (Jeannine Javier); her siblings, Maria Aponte, Rosin Rivera, Jorge Aponte, Edna Mercado, Maria Blanco and Jose Aponte; and her grandchildren, Cynthia, George, Victor, Adriana, Denise and Marya.
