“Dear Szawala Family, I'm a pragmatist when it comes to death and dying. I prefer to remember our good times together, and with Mary Szawala we had MANY. Polkas, singing together while Mary played the Hammond B3 organ. Christmas, Easter and all of the Polish tradition associated with same. I still think of Mary when I attend Mass at Church of the Holy Family in Novi, which is where the incredible stain glass windows from St. John Cantius have been incorporated and immortalized.”
