It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Stanley A. Purvis Sr. of Dewitt, Michigan, who passed away on August 18, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Purvis and Alice Purvis (Gardner); and his siblings, Patricia Kitson, Sharon McComber, Larry Purvis and Jack Purvis.

He is survived by : his wife Phyllis Purvis; his children, Tina LaPorte, Stanley Purvis Jr., Lori Brown (Joel) and Steven Purvis; his sister Brenda Johnson (Ken); his granddaughter Meshia; and his great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Ethan and Stanley. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
