He was predeceased by : his parents, Royal Gaunt and Elsie Gaunt (Yarmouth); and his siblings, Virginia, Dorothy, Royal, Arthur, Patricia and Mary Jane.

He is survived by : his wife Norma Higel; his grandchildren, Daniel Gaunt, William Gaunt and Sandra Heany (James); and his great grandchildren, Timothy Gaunt, Tiffany Fischbach, Nathanial Gaunt (Marjorie), Joshua Gaunt (Valerie), Bryan Heany (Heather Crull), Laurie Casner (Luke Ralston) and Jon Nugent (Jennie).
