He was predeceased by : his sister Marjorie McGrew. He is survived by : his wife Alice Millard; his children, Jon Millard (Janet), Jim Millard (Joan), Ruth Smith (Craig), Sue Hillyer (Ed), Mary Cook (Dave), Marjorie Medja (Ken), Mark Millard (Deborah) and Betty Flak (Scott); his grandchildren, Michelle Davis (Jeff), Jason Millard, Kimberly Torres (Sam), Jessie Basto (Dexter), Jodi Millard, Jamie Eikenhout, Jackie Carrier (Steve), Jena Millard, Rebekah Smith, Andrew Smith (Colin), Heather Zimmerman (Mike), Matthew Hillyer (Chris Parkinson), Jennifer Medja-Sanchez (Moises), Joseph Medja (Amanda), Mitchell Millard, Spencer Millard, Lauryn Flak, Connor Flak and Lindsey Flak; his brothers, Karl Millard (Jean) and Ben McGrew; and his friends, Tom and Arlene Robinson. He is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In honor of John and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice of Allegan County.
