She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Richmond (Bud) and Lela Richmond; her husband Richard Newman; her son Kenneth Newman; her grandson William Crofton (Billy); her son-in-law William Crofton; and her sister Ernestine Matthews (Tene).

She is survived by: her children, Gloria Crofton, Debbie Cramton (Mike), Kimberly Drew (Daniel), Karen Decker (Mike) and Michael Newman (Terrie); and her sister Imogene Stapleton. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and extended family with many step grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
