He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dale Grettenberger, Valda Davidowicz (Leo), Doris Kremer (William) and Evelyn Horstman (Gerald). He is survived by: his wife Linda Grettenberger; his sons, Karl Grettenberger (Mary), Kevin Grettenberger (Juli) and Herman Grettenberger (Samantha); his grandchildren, Ian, Emma Grace, Alissa, Sarah, Skye, Merrick, Brittnae and Jessica; and his great grandchildren, Kaeson, Rosalynne and Noah.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (600 S Main St, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827).
