It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Lawson Sweezey (Eaton Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Hiram Sweezey and Arnania Sweezey (Koller); and his siblings, Kathleen Holmes and Hiram Sweezey. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Sweezey (Adams); his daughters, Deb SweezeyHunt and Suzanne Sweezey; his grandchildren, Alexandra "Ali" Hunt of Russell James and Hunt; his brother William Sweezey (Sharon); and his close friend Michael Rosenberger. He is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.

For those wishing to honor Jim, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
