He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Berres and Isabelle Berres (McMahon); his siblings, Patrick Berres and Maire McMahon; his son Michael T. Berres; his brothers-in-law, Patrick DeGaynor, Don Scott (Scotty) and Tom DeGrand; and his nieces, Barbie Dahlvik and Gina Benetti.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Berres; his children, John Berres (Michele) of Lansing, MI, Susie Beckon (Brian), Margie Gregoire (Marc Pillon) of Escanaba and Karen Platt (Mark) of Shawnee, KS; his daughter-in-law Katie Brewer-Berres (Joe); his grandchildren, Sofie Brewer-Berres, Michael Marie Brewer-Berres, Peter Brewer-Berres-Boychuck, Kyle Berres, Kerry Berres, Darby Beckon, Jacob Beckon, Stephanie Gregoire (Sarah Zegree), Erin Gregoire, Shelby Gregoire (Hayden Hardwick), Elise Whaley (Kyle), Ross Platt (Abby) and Amanda Platt; his sister-in-law Barbara Berres; and his parents-in-law, Tookie Scott of Vicki DeGaynor, RJ, Val DeGrand, Dan, Kathy DeGrand, Julie, Bob Gasparick, Patti, Dave Benetti, Jim, Nancy DeGrand, John, Judi DeGrand and Paul DeGrand. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and a scholarship will be established in Frank's name at a later date.
