He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Hill and Nellie Mae Seger (Robbins); his former wives, Beatrice Ann Seger and Lorraine Seger; and his brother Edwin J. Seger.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Seger of Osier; his children, Tina Tosten, Susan Kelly (Jay) of Rapid River, Timothy Seger of Gladstone, Gordon Seger of Gladstone and Jeff Seger (Carol) of Marquette; his stepsons, Chris Arvey of Hart, MI and Joel Arvey of Hart, MI; and his siblings, Richard Seger (Pat) of Gwinn, Dwight Seger (Lou Ann) and Kathy Aper (Ed). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
